Theodore (Theo) Billups is a Brooklyn-based writer and director working in theatre and film. At NYU Tisch, he studied the Meisner acting technique before switching to the Playwrights Horizons Theater School where he honed his skills as a writer, director, and designer. Since graduating in 2021, he has produced, directed, sounddesigned, and promoted readings and full productions of his original work. He’s also currently working as a professional dungeon master, freelance film editor, and critical writer. Though theatre and film take up most of his time as a creator and consumer of art, he also has a deep appreciation for music, comics, literature, and role-playing games. He often finds himself dabbling in absurdism, retrofuturism, existentialism, humor, and he’s doing mostly okay!
